Google Pixel

Built Different

When Google joined the NBA partner roster, Robot was tapped to help Pixel earn its place courtside, not as a sponsor, but as the Official Fan Phone of the NBA.

Icons from every corner of basketball culture came together to celebrate the moments that define a season, from tip-off to Finals. At the center was actor and comedian Druski, a fan chasing the impossible dream of making it to the league. With a little help from Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jimmy Butler, and the rest of Team Pixel, Druski’s journey became a comedic love letter to the grind and to the phone guiding him through it.

Then, in Lars Ulrich’s hometown of Copenhagen, we hosted a livestreamed Battle Stage Royale where top streamers went riff-for-riff in a first-of-its-kind Fortnite Festival showdown - premiering the game to the world for the first time across 20 creator channels.
It was time Druski put his money where his mouth was, declaring his eligibility for the draft with a hoops tape and content series that truly put him through the ringer as a recruit.
And to top it all off, Druski shared his knowledge of the game, with a helping hand from Team Pixel, to pop up at All Star Weekend with a combine to ensure anyone who wanted to make the league had the same tools he did.

From magazine covers, to shooting drills and half time performances, the stage was set to bring fans closer to the game they love with Pixel.
